Work in Progress: Aprons for Canopy by Hilton

The last few months we have been working on designing & crafting custom selvedge cotton duck aprons for our friends Canopy by Hilton. The first location for the boutique hotel is in Reykjavík so when they reached out to us to create aprons for their cafe, bistro and restaurant bar, we said yes of course.

The new apron is made from the same selvedge cotton duck that we use for all our aprons from Carhartt but for this one, we decided to change it up & create an apron that had cross-back straps as well as an updated cut that fits the burly and the dainty. Pockets are cut and sewn for bar blades & frothing spoons.

As always, we finished the pieces by using vegetable tanned leather & branded R.T.Co without it taking away from the midnite blue tone.

The hotel opened last week in the ever-changing downtown & will definitely bring new life into the neighborhood. Go check them out if you are in Reykjavík!

Custom Copper Pressed Glass Pieces by Anthony Bacigalupo Available Soon

Over the past 5 years, Anthony has been collecting flora and fauna on his travels in California & Iceland and then creating copper pressed glass frames to showcase the beautiful changes throughout the seasons.  He released a few in the series last Christmas which sold out quickly but now a larger collection will be available soon in the shop & also on his website anthonybacigalupo.com

At the moment, 5 selected pieces are being exhibited in the Icelandic forest in Hafnarfjörður, but will soon be available online to purchase as well as at a following exhibition in Reykjavík this fall. Message us if you'd like one before they sell out again.

Our good friend & supporter, Andrea Sisson just directed this beautiful music video for Sam Amidon & we wanted to share it with you. Such beautiful imagery & poeticism mixed with femininity. Shot in one of our hanging grounds in California: Sunny Ojai. Anthony is looking forward to working with her this spring & summer with some of her new projects. Enjoy!

Kex Collaboration

Over these last few months we've been doing some special collaborations with really great places. When Kex asked us to create pieces to cover all their custom beer taps at the end of the nite, we turned to raw selvedge denim from Los Angeles & calf leather from northern Iceland. It's the small details like this that make us so happy to collaborate.
